You who comprehends nothing, and dies, welcome to an eye opener/closer from the headmaster of Effluvia Recordings and one of his new favorite noise musicians. A split, longform, that punches you in the face. Not one foul swoop, mind you, you mind, but rather the action of such prolonged so that you can carefully assess all the damage being done to your precious mannequin face. You can fathom the flowing and spurting of your blood, find the infinity within the marvelous sound of your cracking jaw, and witness the blackening of your eye. First, Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt, who is becoming a household name here at Effluvia. His track is you. That is to say, he involves your body mind and soul to such an extent as to change your perspective on things, forever on a metaphysical note. His sounds mess with you spatially, physically, emotionally, and in ways that we third dimensional mother fuckeroos can’t quite fathom in full. Guitar squelches, subtle and abrupt dynamic, holding tight to it’s philosophy, it’s immensity, it’s absurdity, yet that last part is our own addition. The vehement, static emotion of this piece persists until we’ve heard all whole spectrum of sounds in it. Volcanic eruptions, cheering crowds, dying scorpions, anything and everything. Followed by Consistency Nature, and if Sean’s piece is the soil of this earth, his piece is the junkyard and the thorn bush that grows from it. The rhythm amidst the discord amidst the rhythm amidst the discord. Being it’s creator, I won’t sulk over it and let it speak for itself.
