(ER032) Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt – The Last Trees On Earth

Hello again! After a brief hiatus, Effluvia has returned to you fine specimens, cowering naked and clogged with blood deep within the caverns of your clothing, within the even greater oubliette of sentient beings. If only this was a problem. Alas, we are forced to face the miracle of it all, and it is painful to the ears. To guide us through the euphoria, we need a bit of a slapping. An adjucement of our mental shutters, an alteration of how we see the world. Who better than Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt, who through countless tracks of gargantuan sound has redefined nature within our gored psyches time and time and time again. We have these things called genres, and it makes it easier to expect what the next few moments in a track will bring. The music of Marquardt is completely it’s own entity, it’s own genre. We begin to recognize the motives in his work, but you can find such sounds no place other than in his very own discography. His concepts are so universal, so profound, so vehement, that you can’t help but be amazed no matter how familiar you become with Sean’s dirty noise divinity. What he shows you is nature unveiled, nature redefined. A tree is more than a tree. A stone is more than a stone. Earth is more than earth. When you listen to this single, and watch the corresponding video clip, you’ll find yourself being remolded. Let it do so. Let this be the last view of trees how you’ve seen them all this time. let the candle change it’s hue.
